Phoenix Rising Looks Ahead To 1 Vs. 2 Showdown

PHOENIX (July 27, 2018) — It will be a battle of the top two teams in the Western Conference on Saturday when Phoenix Rising FC heads north to face Real Monarchs SLC. The match kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and fans can watch locally on Yurview Arizona, Cox channels 4&1004 in Phoenix and 7&1007 in Tucson. They can also stream the match on ESPN+. The match will also be simulcast live on the radio on El Patron 93.7 FM (Spanish language) and Fox Sports 910 AM (English).

Phoenix Rising FC (11-4-5) jumped back into second place in the USL’s Western Conference after picking up a 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC 2 last Friday, giving the club 38 points overall and its third win in its last five matches. The match marked the ninth clean sheet of the season for Rising FC.

Rising FC is off to a record start this year through 20 matches and is among the league leaders in several categories, including goal difference (plus-16, third best in the league), goals scored (34, fourth-most), goals allowed (19, tied for fourth-fewest), clean sheets (9, tied for fifth-most) and shots (317, second-most).

With a win this week, PRFC would jump ahead of conference leader Real Monarchs SLC (13-5-2) with 41 points and owning the tiebreaker of goal differential. Monarchs enter Saturday’s match on the heels of a 4-2 loss to San Antonio FC in San Antonio. The club has won just two of its previous five matches. However, the Monarchs have been unblemished at home this season posting a 8-0-1 record (25 points).

Saturday will be the second meeting between the two clubs this year with Real Monarchs picking up a 1-0 win in Arizona back in April. It's the twelfth-ever matchup in the series. The clubs have split the previous 11 matches, 5-5-1.

Friday will be the first meeting between the two clubs this year but the eighth-ever matchup in the series all-time. PRFC defeated Sounders FC 2 twice last season and has won three of the last four in the series overall.

Friday night will mark the final Blackout Night of the season for Phoenix Rising with the previous two Blackout Night’s each ending in wins in front of crowds of 7,000 plus fans. A sell-out crowd is expected once again at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex.

Phoenix Rising Returns From Long Layoff With Trip To Fresno

PHOENIX (July 13, 2018) — After a week off, Phoenix Rising FC returns to the pitch on Saturday night to take on Fresno FC at Chukchansi Park. The match kicks off at 7 p.m.

Phoenix Rising FC (10-3-5) enters Friday's showdown on a six-match unbeaten streak and five-game clean sheet streak. The club did not allow a single goal in the entire month of June, helping interim head coach Rick Schantz earn USL Coach of the Month honors while goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski took home Player of the Week honors for his efforts.

In its most recent match, PRFC defeated Orange County SC 1-0 at home, despite playing down a man for nearly an hour after defender Kody Wakasa was shown a first-half red card. Forward Chris Cortez scored his team-leading eighth goal of the season in the contest to improve the club’s record start to 35 points in its first 18 games. Wakasa will miss the contest tomorrow night due to the red card.

Rising FC is a league leader in several categories, including goal difference (plus-19, best in the league), goals scored (34, third-most), goals allowed (15, tied for third-fewest), clean sheets (8, tied for fourth-most) and shots (293, second-most). The club currently sits in third place in the Western Conference.

Fresno FC (6-7-7) enters Saturday’s match on the playoff bubble, currently sitting in ninth place in the Western Conference with 25 points. Fresno has won its last two games and three of its last five in its inaugural season as an expansion club in USL.

Saturday will be the second meeting between the two clubs this year after they drew 1-1 in Arizona back in April in the first all-time meeting in the series. PRFC played a man down most of the match after Amadou Did earned a red card in the first half thanks to a tough challenge on Fresno’s Juan Pablo Caffa. Fresno FC is the last remaining Western Conference team PRFC has yet to beat in club history.

The point kept Phoenix Rising in second place in the Western Conference standings with 32 points, continuing the club's record start to the season. The team can set a new consecutive clean sheet record with another shutout this weekend.

Phoenix Rising FC (9-3-4) will carry a two-game winning streak and four-match unbeaten streak into South Texas after defeating Tulsa Roughnecks 3-0 at home in its most recent match. In the win, Jason Johnson scored a wondrous scissor kick goal while Chris Cortez and Kevaughn Frater each chipped in a tally and goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski earned his fifth clean sheet of the season and second in the span of a week.

The three points kept Phoenix Rising in second place in the Western Conference standings with 31 points. PRFC is off to its best start to a season in club history with 31 points in 16 matches and can equal the club’s record streak of shutouts with a fourth consecutive clean sheet this weekend. PHOENIX (June 15, 2018) — Phoenix Rising FC wraps up its two-game homestand this Saturday when it faces Tulsa Roughnecks FC at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex.

Phoenix Rising FC (8-3-4) is riding high into Saturday’s match after defeating Las Vegas Lights FC 4-0 at home on Wednesday. In the win, Jason Johnson scored twice and the club registered its second straight clean sheet, both from goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski.

The three points moved Phoenix Rising back into second place in the Western Conference standings leapfrogging Portland Timbers 2. PRFC is off to its best start to a season in club history with 28 points in 15 matches. PRFC also leads all of USL in goals scored (30), shots attempted (244) and goal differential (+15).

Tulsa Roughnecks FC (0-6-7) is the only winless team left in the Western Conference. Tulsa has lost each of its last two matches, a 1-0 defeat at Los Angeles Galaxy II and a 3-0 home loss to Saint Louis FC. Forward Joaquin Rivas has scored six goals for Tulsa this year. He is the only player on the Roughnecks FC roster to have scored more than once.

Phoenix Rising Back Home For First-Ever Matchup WIth Las Vegas

PHOENIX (June 11, 2018) — Phoenix Rising FC returns home to open a two-game homestand this Wednesday when it faces Las Vegas Lights FC at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Interim Head Coach Rick Schantz will lead the club from the sidelines following the news that head coach Patrice Carteron has left Phoenix Rising for the same position Egyptian side Al Ahly SC.

Phoenix Rising FC (7-3-4) will have a quick turnaround after drawing 0-0 in Sacramento against Republic FC last Saturday. PRFC recorded their fourth clean sheet of the season in that match.

The point in Sacramento kept Phoenix Rising in front of Sacramento in the Western Conference standings, but the club was leapfrogged by Portland Timbers 2. With 25 points, PRFC enters Week 14 of the season in third place in the West.

PRFC is off to its best start to a season in club history with 25 points in 14 matches, shattering the previous record for most points through 14 games (19 points, done in 2015 and 2017). PRFC also leads all of USL in goals scored (26), is second in shots attempted (220) and is third in the Western Conference in goal differential (+11).

Las Vegas Lights FC (3-4-4) is in its first season as an expansion club in the USL. The club was victorious in its last match, a 4-1 win over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, but had lost the three games prior. Forward Carlos Alvarez leads Las Vegas with four goals this season, the only player on its roster with more than two tallies. This will mark the first ever matchup between Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Phoenix Rising Road Trip Ends With Clash Against Sacramento

PHOENIX (June 6, 2018) — Phoenix Rising FC will cap a three-game road stretch Saturday night, when it faces Sacramento Republic FC at Papa Murphy’s Park. Phoenix Rising FC (7-3-3) snapped a mini two-game skid in a big way its last time out, smashing Saint Louis FC 3-1 behind a trio of spectacular goals from Chris Cortez, Solomon Asante and Jason Johnson. Asante and Cortez scored on strikes from outside the box while Johnson’s goal was a culmination of a nine-pass build up attack.

The win kept Phoenix Rising in second place in the Western Conference for a fourth straight week and ahead of Sacramento on goal difference. Rising FC is off to its best start to a season in club history with 24 points in 13 matches, breaking the previous record for most points through 13 games (19 points, set in 2015). Phoenix Rising also leads all of USL in goals scored (26) and shots attempted (212) and is second in the Western Conference in goal differential (+11).

Sacramento Republic FC (7-3-3) have been up-and-down in recent weeks. The club was victorious in its last match, a 1-0 win over Orange County SC, but has not picked up points in consecutive games since April 28. Forward Cameron Iwasa leads Republic FC with five goals this season, the only player on its roster with more than two tallies. The Republic recorded a 2-1 win Wednesday night against MLS side Seattle Sounders in the 4th Round of the US Open Cup.

This week, Phoenix Rising FC coach Patrice Carteron can make history and break the club’s all-time coaching wins record. Carteron is currently tied with former coach Dellorusso with 20 wins in all competitions with the club.

1. What is the subscription model?
With the subscription model you will be paying a price per month rather than a price per match. The subscription model provides an affordable way to enjoy Phoenix Rising in a way that suits you. Plus, flexible payment options!

2. What happens if I purchase a 3 or 6 month subscription, but then I want to add more months?
The 3 and6 month subscription has the ability to rollover for an additional term. A Phoenix Rising representative will reach out to you 30 days prior to your current term ending to see if you would like to extend your membership and/or cancel.

3. Are subscriptions pro-rated if you already missed a match that month?
Subscriptions are not pro-rated. Each subscription will start on the first of every month. If you purchase your subscription during the middle of the month, the price will stay the same.

4. I received a priority number from renewing/purchasing season tickets last year. If I purchase the 3 month subscription does that mean I lose my priority number?
Yes, unfortunately you will lose your priority number if you select a 3 month subscription or do not renew at all. If you purchase a 6 or 12 month subscription, your priority number will remain the same.

5. Is my subscription for consecutive months, or can I pick and choose which months I want?
Your subscription is for consecutive months only. If you were to do a3 month subscription in March, your subscription would cover March, April and May.

6. What is an MLS priority number? How do I know what my number is?
Your MLS priority number is your spot in line for selecting your seats should we be granted an MLS expansion spot. It is also the number we use for reseating/seat upgrades at the end of each USL season. Your priority number is based off the time of your initial purchase of season tickets. If you purchased season tickets but do not renew, your priority number will reset. To find out your priority number call our hotline or your ticket representative. As long as you renew as a member each year, your priority number will not change.

7. There is only one price listed for sideline sections, what are the prices for each section?
That is correct! All reserved seating is the same price this year. By being a Phoenix Rising subscriber, you will have the ability to pick the any reserved seat at no additional cost.

8. Are playoff tickets included with my membership?
Playoff tickets are not included with your membership.

9. Where can I use Rising Bucks at?
You can use your Rising bucks at either of the two Snack Shacks located at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex on match days. The Snack Shack features Venezia’s pizza, hot dogs, coke products and much more!

10. What is the promo pass and what is it good for?

Phoenix Rising Has Chance To Rebound Against Struggling Saint Louis

PHOENIX (May 29, 2018) — Phoenix Rising FC wraps up a two-game swing through the Midwest when it travels to play Saint Louis FC this Wednesday. The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and fans can watch locally on Yurview Arizona, Cox channels 4&1004 in Phoenix and 7&1007 in Tucson. They can also stream the match on ESPN3. The match will also be simulcast live on the radio on El Patron 93.7 FM (Spanish language) and Fox Sports 910 AM (English).

Phoenix Rising FC (6-3-3) was defeated in the first leg of the trip, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Swope Park Rangers on Saturday. The loss was the club’s second consecutive defeat in the league, the first time all year the team has lost back-to-back games.

Despite the past two results, Phoenix Rising is still off to a record pace to start the year. Its 21 points in 12 matches is the best in club history, breaking the previous record for most points through 12 games (18 points, set last season). PRFC also leads all of USL in goals scored (23) and is third in the Western Conference in goal differential (+9).

Saint Louis FC (3-3-5) also enter in poor form. The club is winless in its last five games and lost its most recent league match 3-0 at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday. Forward Kyle Grieg leads Saint Louis with five goals this season, the only player on its roster with more than one tally.

Wednesday will be just the second-ever meeting between the two clubs. Phoenix Rising owns the only victory in the series, a 2-1 win at home in 2016. Last year, Saint Louis was in the Eastern Conference before being realigned back into the West for 2018.
