PHOENIX (June 5, 2018) — Phoenix Rising midfielder Solomon Asante was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 12 of the 2018 USL season. Asante notched a goal and an assist during Phoenix Rising’s 3-1 win over Saint Louis FC last Wednesday.
This is the fifth time this season Asante has been recognized by the league and the second time he has made the Team of the Week. It’s also the ninth time in 12 weeks a Phoenix Rising players has received league honors.
Phoenix Rising FC finishes its three-match road trip on Saturday at Sacramento Republic FC. The match will kickoff at 8 p.m. and the club will host an official watch party at Tim Finnegan’s Irish Bar and Grill (17045 N 59th Ave #103, Glendale, AZ)
The club will then return home for two matches next week. On Wednesday, June 13, the club squares off against Las Vegas Lights FC. It’ll be $1 beer night presented by Bud Light and anyone with a college ID will get in free when presenting the ID at the Box Office. Phoenix Rising will then square up against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Phoenix Rising stainless steel water bottle courtesy of Arizona Federal. Tickets for both matches are still available and can be purchased at www.www.phxrisingfc.com
