In accordance with revised safety protocols from local officials, Phoenix Rising FC at Wild Horse Pass will transition to full capacity for its match beginning on Saturday, June 5, vs. San Diego Loyal SC, the club announced today.
Rising’s match on Saturday, May 22 will be played with the stadium at 50% capacity. All single-game ticket sales for matches on or after June 5 will go on sale this Friday, May 14.
“With the COVID-19 vaccine readily available, our fans feel safe at our matches,” said Rising GM Bobby Dulle. “At full capacity our season-ticket members can get back into their original seating locations and we can introduce our new venue to more Rising fans. I want to thank our fans and partners for being patient and loyal throughout this process. We feel confident we can make this change and do so safely by maintaining a number of the health and safety protocols put into place earlier this season.”
The club opened the 2021 USL Championship Regular Season in its new outdoor stadium on the Gila River Indian Community, operating at 50% capacity during a 4-1 win vs. San Diego Loyal on Friday, April 30. Rising followed that performance with a 3-0 shutout win vs. Oakland Roots this past Saturday, May 8. That match was also played in front of a capacity crowd with the stadium at 50% of its potential capacity.
Prior to COVID-19, Phoenix Rising had sold out 23 consecutive matches. Upon returning to full capacity, the club will still require fans to wear a mask when not actively eating or drinking. Rising will continue to operate as a 100% mobile-ticket venue via the Rising Mobile App.
Rising at Wild Horse Pass is a cashless venue. The club also installed a clear-bag policy for the 2021 season. Fans have the option to use their credit or debit cards, or exchange cash at a machine to load a card, if they wish to make purchases during the match.
