PHOENIX (May 28, 2019) — Phoenix Rising midfielder Jose Aguinaga was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 12 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today.
Aguinaga notched a pair of assists and three key passes in addition to completing 32 of 37 passes in Phoenix Rising’s 4-2 win over Real Monarchs SLC on Saturday night.
This is the eighth week this season a Rising FC player has been recognized by the league and the first time Aguinaga has received a league honor with Rising FC.
Phoenix Rising is off this weekend but will return to USL Championship play on Friday, June 7th, to square off with Tulsa Roughnecks FC. It’s another Copper State Friday and $1 Beer Night and the first 2,500 fans will receive a copper and black Rising t-shirt courtesy of Arizona Federal. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and gates open at 6:00 p.m. Fans can purchase their tickets by heading to www.phxrisingfc.com
