
PHOENIX (May 29, 2018) — Phoenix Rising FC wraps up a two-game swing through the Midwest when it travels to play Saint Louis FC this Wednesday. The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and fans can watch locally on Yurview Arizona, Cox channels 4&1004 in Phoenix and 7&1007 in Tucson. They can also stream the match on ESPN3. The match will also be simulcast live on the radio on El Patron 93.7 FM (Spanish language) and Fox Sports 910 AM (English).
Phoenix Rising FC (6-3-3) was defeated in the first leg of the trip, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Swope Park Rangers on Saturday. The loss was the club’s second consecutive defeat in the league, the first time all year the team has lost back-to-back games.
Despite the past two results, Phoenix Rising is still off to a record pace to start the year. Its 21 points in 12 matches is the best in club history, breaking the previous record for most points through 12 games (18 points, set last season). PRFC also leads all of USL in goals scored (23) and is third in the Western Conference in goal differential (+9).
Saint Louis FC (3-3-5) also enter in poor form. The club is winless in its last five games and lost its most recent league match 3-0 at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday. Forward Kyle Grieg leads Saint Louis with five goals this season, the only player on its roster with more than one tally.
Wednesday will be just the second-ever meeting between the two clubs. Phoenix Rising owns the only victory in the series, a 2-1 win at home in 2016. Last year, Saint Louis was in the Eastern Conference before being realigned back into the West for 2018.
