PHOENIX (June 11, 2019) — Phoenix Rising forward Junior Flemmings was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 14 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today. His teammate, forward Solomon Asante, was an honorable mention.
Flemmings scored a brace, earned a penalty, and completed 16 of 19 passes in the club’s 5-0 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Asante scored a goal and notched two assists in the match.
This is the ninth week this season a Rising FC player has been recognized by the league and the third time Flemmings has received a league honor with Rising FC. This is also the third time Asante has been recognized by the league.
Phoenix Rising returns to Casino Arizona Field on Saturday, June 15, to take on Western Conference rival Orange County SC. The first 2,500 fans who arrive will receive a PRFC beach towel courtesy of Foothills Sports Medicine Physical Therapy. Gates open at 6 p.m. and fans can purchase their tickets at www.phxrisingfc.com
