(PHOENIX) August 10, 2017 – Today, Phoenix Rising Football Club announced the addition of midfielder Sam Hamilton who has been loaned to the club by the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. Colorado retains the right to recall Hamilton at any point during the remainder of the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
The midfielder appeared in three matches this season with the Rapids after he was selected in the first round (15th overall) of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Denver. As a senior captain in 2016, Hamilton led Denver to the 2016 College Cup and an unbeaten regular season.
With the addition of Hamilton, the club now has 28 players on its roster.
