PHOENIX (October 3, 2017) – Phoenix Rising FC return home from a successful four-match road trip this Wednesday to face Tulsa Roughnecks FC at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the match are still available and can be purchased at www.www.phxrisingfc.com. Fans can also watch the match live locally on YurView Arizona Cox Channels 4 & 1004 (Phoenix) or 7 & 1007 (Tucson) or online at www.www.phxrisingfc.com.
Phoenix Rising will be looking to start a new winning streak against Tulsa, after having its club-record 11-match unbeaten run and 5 game winning streak snapped in a 2-0 loss at Sacramento Republic FC last Saturday.
During the run, Rising FC had clinched its first-ever playoff berth and set club records for matches without a loss, winning streak, clean sheet streak, and road winning streak. All of those successes came despite a hectic schedule that has forced the club to play eight times in the month of September.
Wednesday’s game will kick off a three-match home-stand to finish the regular season for the team. After Tulsa, Phoenix Rising will play Rio Grande Valley Toros and Portland Timbers 2 the next two Saturdays, before embarking on its first ever playoff game during the weekend of October 20-22.
Tulsa comes to the Valley on the verge of clinching its own playoff spot. Roughnecks FC is currently 7th in the Western Conference, five points clear of ninth-placed Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and six points clear of tenth-placed Orange County SC.
Roughnecks FC is only 4-7-4 away from home this season and is 2-2-1 over its last five games overall. Most recently, Tulsa lost 2-0 at home to San Antonio FC.
Phoenix Rising lost at Tulsa earlier this year, suffering a 3-0 defeat back on July 22. That was 14 games ago, but Rising FC have only lost twice since. Tulsa leads the historic overall series between the clubs 4-0-1.
