(PHOENIX) September 26, 2017 – Phoenix Rising FC midfielder Alessandro Riggi was named to the United Soccer League Team of the Week for Week 27. This is the 12th time a Phoenix Rising FC player has been named to the team of the week this season and the first time Riggi has received the honor. He was a Team of the Week honorable mention in Weeks 5 and 20.
RIggi scored the second goal in Phoenix Rising FC’s 4-0 win over Whitecaps FC 2 on September 24 in addition to tallying two assists. The goal is currently nominated for USL’s Goal of the Week. Fans can vote for Riggi here: http://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/837277.
Riggi also scored the lone goal in Phoenix RIsing FC’s 1-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC 2 on September 20.
Phoenix Rising FC continues its four-match Pacific Northwest road trip on Wednesday, September 27, against Portland Timbers FC 2.
