Phoenix Rising FC hits the road for Oklahoma, where the club will defend its ten-match winning streak against Tula Roughnecks FC. The match is scheduled to kickoff 5:30 p.m. at and will air on YourPHX CW (channel 6 on cable and 61.1 on satellite & over-the-air) as well as ArizonaSports.com.
Last week, the club matched a USL Championship record for consecutive wins following a 6-0 drubbing of Austin Bold FC. Teammates Solomon Asante (two goals and an assist) and Junior Flemmings (two assists) each earned USL Championship Team of the Week honors for their performance during the match. Forward Adam Jahn scored, making it ten of his last eleven matches with a goal or an assist, while Jon Bakero, Joey Calistri, and James Musa rounded out the club’s scoring.
The win matched a USL Championship record for most consecutive wins in a season (10), set by FC Cincinnati in 2018. A win this weekend would break the league record and would also break a club record for most consecutive road wins in a season (4).
This will be the second and final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs. Phoenix Rising won the previous match, 5-0, on June 7th at Casino Arizona Field. Fans can watch the match at one of two official watch parties: Vine Tavern in Tempe and Philly’s Sports Grill in Tempe.
