(PHOENIX) Aug. 15, 2019 – Phoenix Rising FC announced today that it has acquired midfielder Peter-Lee Vassell on loan from Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Football Club. LAFC will retain the right to recall Vassell at any point.
Vassell, 21, a Jamaican international has made six appearances for LAFC during the 2019 season, including two starts. He has logged one assist over the course of 177 minutes played.
With Jamaica, Vassell has recorded five goals with the latest coming during CONCACAF Nations League qualifying in October of 2018. Vassell was teammates with current Rising players Kevon Lambert and Junior Flemmings on the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup roster.
Vassell will wear number eight and is expected to be available for selection Saturday night when Rising hosts Reno 1868 FC at Casino Arizona Field. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
