PHOENIX (September 17, 2019) — Phoenix Rising defender Austin Ledbetter was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 28 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today. Teammate Junior Flemmings earned an honorable mention nod.
Ledbetter completed 48 of 53 passes, made two key passes and won six of his eight duels during Phoenix Rising’s 1-0 win at Las Vegas on Wednesday night. Flemmings scored a brace and won 14 duels during the club’s 4-1 win over LA Galaxy II on Saturday night.
This is the 20th week overall this season a Phoenix Rising player has been recognized by the league. Ledbetter makes his first appearance on the USL Championship Team of the Week in 2019. This is the fourth time Flemmings has been recognized by the league.
Phoenix Rising hits the road this Saturday for a matchup with Fresno FC. The match will air live on Your PHX CW (channels 6 & 61.1) and online at ArizonaSports.com with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Fans can watch the match at two official watch party locations: Vine Tavern on Elliot Road in Tempe and Three Wisemen in Scottsdale.
