PHOENIX (September 10, 2019) — Phoenix Rising goalkeeper Zac Lubin earned a USL Championship Team of the Week Honorable Mention nod for Week 27 of the 2019 USL Championship season the league announced today.
Lubin made five saves, including an 84th minute 1v1 denial to keep Phoenix Rising’s winning streak hopes alive, in a 1-0 victory over San Antonio FC. The clean sheet was Lubin’s 13th of the season, a new single-season club record.
This is the 20th week overall this season a Phoenix Rising player has been recognized by the league. This marks the third time this season Lubin earns an Honorable Mention nod from the league.
Phoenix Rising travels to Las Vegas for a mid-week match against Las Vegas Lights FC. The match will air live on Your PHX CW (channels 6 & 61.1) and online at ArizonaSports.com with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. Fans can attend one of two official watch parties being held at Social Hall in Tempe and Brass Tap in Downtown Gilbert. Fans who attend have a chance to win a free Phoenix Rising jersey.
