Rick Schantz
On the 0-0 draw against Reno 1868 FC:
"Zero, zero. We didn't get scored on. At home, you create enough chances, but you don't get the goal, as long as you don't get scored on, it's not the worst thing."
On why Phoenix Rising FC was held scoreless:
"We created a ton of chances. We had two breakaways in the first half. We had a couple of really good opportunities. Their keeper was spectacular, he did a really good job. At the end of the day, I think for us this is good, we just have to keep moving forward. Not getting scored on is important."
On short week before Wednesday's game on the road against Las Vegas Lights FC:
"We do the best we can. Tonight, the goal was just to get three points. That's all we could control tonight. Wednesday, we'll go for three points again. We're probably going to have to rest a few guys, maybe switch it up a little bit. I have no doubt the guys that play for us on Wednesday will be spectacular."
On ankle injury to James Musa:
"They're going to have some scans tomorrow, and we'll know more about it. You can't really tell right now. Maybe a small sprain, we're not sure. We'll know more tomorrow."
On if he knows what his lineup will be in the playoffs:
"Before tonight's game, I told the guys that this week is going to go a long way into how we decide to handle the playoffs. I thought the performance was good. We weren't as clean in the final third as we could've been. Just concentration and focus. Defensively, we've been very sharp. I think we're losing a bit of our focus in the final third. At this time of the year, that needs to get fixed real quick."
Joe Farrell
On recent defensive form:
"We've been working on pressing in the offensive half and winning the ball back early so that teams didn't have the confidence to build up and to play in our half. So, we try and press and win the ball back as soon as we can and that's been a big factor in leading us to shutouts."
On the final two games of the season:
"There are no easy games this week. Every game is a challenge, so we have two games to get up for playoffs. That's our main goal, to win the championship in November. We're going to use these last two games astune ups and hopefully we hit the ground flying come the first round of playoffs."
On Coach Schantz's comments to the team:
"At half-time it was here and there. We did a lot of good things well, but there was a little urgency issue that we didn't have. We were kind of slow in possession at times, but we have to do a better job capitalizing on our opportunities because we had a bunch and we really outshot them. So we have to take our chances when they're there and win games."
On the short turnaround ahead of Vegas:
"Nothing changes. Same mentality. We go out wanting three points and that's our main objective. Quick turnaround, quick re-gen day tomorrow to get our bodies right and then out to Vegas on Tuesday; game Wednesday."
Carl Woszczynski
On the mindset for the final two games of the season:
"I don't know what OC did. I'm assuming they won. It's tougher for us now. Now we need a little help, but I thought we played a good game. 0-0 – it's not a bad result by any means. We had chances, they had a few chances. So we move on. We get back at it Wednesday. It's a quick turnaround so we move on from this one and get ready to go again."
On recording another clean sheet:
"Again, defensively I thought we were great. Only allowed a couple of shots, not a whole lot of chances. They're one of the more dangerous counter-attacking teams in the league. I thought Kevon Lambert, I told him I thought that was one of the best games I've ever seen him play. He was an animal defensively and offensively. He was my man of the match for sure. Defensively, we're doing well. Things are clicking at the right time even though we didn't score today, and I think we're going to finish strong and go to the playoffs strong."
On seeding for the playoffs:
"It's always nice to get first place, but after the season we've had I think first, second – either is good. Obviously you want to win, but two games left, hopefully we get six points out of those games and then we'll see where everything falls."
