Ihsan Sacko recorded three goals across two games, earning Team of the Week honors
The USL Championship announced the Team of the Week for Week 25 of the 2026 regular season today, with Rising forward Ihsan Sacko earning an spot in the starting lineup for his standout performances against Colorado Springs and Sacramento Republic last week.
Ihsan Sacko was once again the difference-maker for Rising, scoring both goals in the Sacramento match to bring his season total to 12 USL Championship goals, the most in the league. His first came just before halftime to give Rising momentum heading into the break, while his 85th-minute finish secured the point on the road. Sacko continues to be one of Rising’s most dangerous attacking threats, now leading the team in goal contributions and tied for the league lead in shots with 59.
“I thought Sacko’s two goals were unbelievable finishes, great pass from Diego, but the fight brought us back into the game and that’s what we’ve got to keep going for the rest of the season,” Kah said.
USL Championship Team of the Week – Week 25
GK – Kris Shakes, New Mexico United: The 25-year-old recorded a nine-save shutout to earn New Mexico a point after going down to 10 men after half-an-hour against Loudoun United FC, posting a -1.9 Goals Prevented mark and recording 13 recoveries at Segra Field.
D – Pacifique Niyongabire, Loudoun United FC: The Burundi international recorded a game-high four shots joining the attack and had three chances created while completing 34 of 38 passes and winning 8 of 9 duels in Loudoun’s draw with New Mexico.
D – David Garcia, Oakland Roots SC: The Spanish center back won 10 of 11 duels and made four interceptions, five clearances and five recoveries as Oakland took a 1-0 win at San Antonio FC while also completing 35 of 47 passes at Toyota Field.
D – Delentz Pierre, FC Tulsa: The Haitian international scored a spectacular free kick and completed 36 of 41 passes overall in Tulsa’s victory against Orange County SC while winning 3 of 4 duels and recording two recoveries and one blocked shot defensively.
M – Jack Blake, Indy Eleven: Blake scored the game-winning goal in Indy’s 2-1 victory against rival Louisville City FC and ended the contest with a game-high five shots overall while completing 24 of 32 passes and winning 8 of 13 duels.
M – Aaron Molloy, Lexington SC: Molloy set a season single-game high winning 8 of 8 tackles while also winning 9 of 12 duels and making nine recoveries and three interceptions to help guide Lexington’s 2-0 win against Las Vegas Lights FC.
M – Hugo Bacharach, Rhode Island FC: The Spanish midfielder scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in his side’s 3-1 win against Monterey Bay FC while completing 28 of 29 passes and recording four clearances, three interceptions and three recoveries.
M – Jamie Webber, FC Tulsa: The South African completed 43 of 50 passes and had two chances created while winning 10 of 15 duels and 5 of 7 tackles in Tulsa’s victory against Orange County SC, also logging eight recoveries and four clearances.
F – Arquímides Ordóñez, FC Tulsa: The Guatemala international recorded FC Tulsa’s third hat trick in the USL Championship and ended the night with five shots overall while completing 12 of 13 passes in his side’s 5-1 victory against Orange County SC.
F – Ihsan Sacko, Phoenix Rising FC: The French forward recorded three goals across two games, helping Rising to a four-point week, and scored twice in Phoenix’s comeback 2-2 draw against Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday night while recording three shots and two chances created.
F – Marcus Epps, Lexington SC: The veteran scored once and had three shots and four chances created overall while completing 27 of 30 passes and making eight recoveries in Lexington’s 2-0 victory against Las Vegas Lights FC.
Coach – Sean McAuley, Indy Eleven: McCauley led his side to his first victory in the LIPAFC with a 2-1 result against Louisville City FC as Indy’s defense limited Louisville’s high-powered attack to an average of 0.07xG per shot.
