Phoenix Rising FC will wear gold jerseys for the remainder of September in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, beginning with this Saturday’s match vs. Oakland Roots SC at Wild Horse Pass (7:30 p.m.), the club announced today.
“Childhood cancers are devastating diseases we all would love to see eradicated,” said Phoenix Rising FC General Manager Bobby Dulle. “Our partners at Phoenix Children’s work each day to help those affected. We want to do what we can, help raise some money for the cause and show our support for the doctors, nurses and children battling cancers.”
Proceeds from the sale of the limited-edition jerseys will benefit Phoenix Children’s Foundation (@FriendsofPCH). Fans can preorder gold jerseys now at ShopRisingFC.com, but due to supply-chain challenges, should expect a 2-4 wait period for processing and shipping.
“We are grateful for the partnership with Phoenix Rising and their amazing fans to help support our “Step Up. Stop Cancer.” campaign and shine a light on pediatric cancer,” said Tim Harrison, Phoenix Children’s Foundation Vice President Corporate Partnerships & Special Events. “Funds raised will help support the lifesaving work at Phoenix Children’s nationally renowned Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.”
