Phoenix Rising FC has declined the 2023 contract options on Richmond Antwi and Lamin Jawneh, the club announced today.
“I want to thank Richie and Lamin for their hard work and dedication to the club this season,” said Rising head coach Juan Guerra. “Both were great teammates and provided a spark to the lineup when called upon. I hope they find success in the next steps of their playing careers.”
Signed in December, Antwi appeared in 21 matches for Rising in 2022, starting five times. He finished the season with four goals in 482 minutes to lead the club in goals per minutes played (121).
Signed to a 25-day contract on June 20 and extended to a season-long contract on July 14, Jawneh appeared in seven matches, starting twice, for a total of 191 minutes as a forward and outside midfielder.
