The holiday season is fast approaching, which means that for some of you, the next two weeks will be a haze of store fronts and gift wrapping as you struggle to complete all of your holiday shopping.
For others, the next two weeks is trying to avoid everyone who is rushing from place to place looking for the perfect gift (hint: you could find it here).
Regardless of which camp you fall into, you may have missed the last week of news from Phoenix Rising FC. Don't worry! We have you covered.
Club Co-Owner Diplo appears on Men In Blazers
Phoenix Rising FC got a little national attention on Tuesday when club co-owner Diplo visited the crap part of SoHo to join the Men in Blazers.
He talked about the team, how he got into soccer and picked out his favorite Premier League tattoo.
Diplo later gave the duo his starting DJ five-a-side lineup.
Berke Bakay drops in with Brad Cesmat
Later in the week fellow co-owner and club governor Berke Bakay visited The Brad Cesmat Show on Sports360AZ.com and spoke with the host about his personal connection with soccer, why he decided to invest in Phoenix Rising FC and the potential future for the club.
Two more players added to the 2017 Roster
The club wasn't all glamor in front of a camera this week. On the technical side, the club announced the signing of two new players: defender Victor Vasquez and forward Matthew Hurlow-Paonessa.
Phoenix Rising FC head coach Frank Yallop said of Vasquez: "He stood out at both of the combines I saw him at. He's an exciting, fast, left fullback that gets forward well and is very comfortable on the ball."
On Hurlow-Paonessa, he said: "I saw him at the Ventura combine, and he was a big, fast, and exciting forward that caught my eye. The more I watched him, the more I liked him. And I think his work rate and attitude should be a good asset to the club.”
The club now has 14 players signed for the 2017 season.
