Phoenix Rising Head Coach Pa Modou-Kah:
On his thoughts on the match…
“We didn’t create enough chances. It was very, very disappointing. I think it’s important that we look at ourselves before we look at what we are doing. I’ll be the first one to look at myself to see where and what I could do better. Also, I think that it is very important that when we think about who we are and who we want to be as Phoenix Rising.”
On preparation going into the next home match
“We as a coaching staff are going to approach it as rectifying a bunch of stuff from demands because this is not good enough, this position is not where we want to be. It’s just not good enough.”
On mentality going into two game week…
“We have to go get points. We are in a position that is not Phoenix Rising worthy. That’s not the position that we want to be in. But also, it’s a time that as coaches and players, we roll up our sleeves and fight – it’s never done until it’s finished.”
“We still have a chance and as a coach, I never think of anything besides that. We’re going to achieve our objective that we set, as crazy as we sound, I still think that we’re going to achieve them. We’re going to continue to work hard and push everybody.”
Phoenix Rising Forward Conrad Ambursley…
On his thoughts on the match…
“It was just unfortunate. I feel like we had a good game plan that we wanted to execute.”
On emotions around first start in a Rising uniform…
“It was a good moment for me and my family, obviously I would’ve liked for the game to go a bit better and get a better result but the beauty of it is that we get to go again so we are looking forward to our next one.”
On going into a two game week…
“Pick up points. We know that we’ve got the talent and the mentality within the group to go win those two games and get six points out of it so that’s the aim for us.”
On the upcoming approach and preparation…
“Definitely be prepared. We’re excited to see the fans and get some well deserved rest and mentally reset ourselves to go fight again.”
