PHOENIX (April 3, 2018) — Phoenix Rising midfielder Solomon Asante received a Team of the Week Honorable Mention for Week 3 of the 2018 USL season. This is the second time Asante has been recognized by the league. He was an honorable mention pick after Week 1 of the season. This is also the third consecutive week a Phoenix Rising player has been recognized by the league.
Asante was Phoenix's lone scorer in the club’s 1-0 win over Reno 1868 FC on March 31. The midfielder drew a foul inside the box during stoppage time and then converted the subsequent penalty kick to ensure three points.
Fans can watch Asante and the rest of his teammates at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex Saturday as they take on the defending regular season champions Real Monarchs.
