HOME FINALE
After kicking off the regular season at home against Orange County back in March, Rising will play its 15th and final home game of the 2026 regular season against Lexington SC. At home, Rising has earned a result in 10 of its home matches, scoring 28 goals across 11 different scorers. Some of the club’s best home results came in a 3-0 win over New Mexico United (April 11), 3-1 win over Colorado Springs (Aug. 19) and a 2-0 win over Sacramento (May 30). Saturday’s match presents Rising one final chance to secure points at home as it looks to finish the season strong and earn a potential playoff match.
“We’re going to have the loudest crowd that maybe we’ve had in a while. I know the fans and everybody is ready to come and make sure that they’ll be our 12th man and push through this game,” Kah said.. “We’re going to need it. It’s unbelievable. I’m truly appreciative of their support, and not only now, but for the past two years I’ve been here, it’s been magnificent. And they keep showing up game after game, which is credit to them.”
THE LEGACY
Several Rising players have stood out throughout the 2026 season, led by forward Ihsan Sacko, who enters the final match leading the USL Championship with 16 goals and in high contention for the Golden Boot award. Sacko was named Midseason Player of the Year back in June and has earned seven Team of the Week selections this season. Midfielder JP Scearce has also been a consistent presence, logging all 2,610 minutes through 29 appearances and entering Saturday’s match with the opportunity to play every minute of the regular season and become an Ironman. Meanwhile, Diego Gomez leads Rising with five assists in the campaign, creating an opportunity for the team to capitalize and walk away victorious from 38th & Washington one last time.
“We know what is at stake, that’s for the occasion, for the external,” Kah said. “For us, it’s just another game that we need to focus on and that’s all it is. Again, we have everything within our hands, and that’s the best thing you can have when you can control your own destiny.”
LOOKING AT LEXINGTON
Lexington heads to Phoenix with a 14-10-5 overall record and a 5-6-3 mark on the road. The club is 4-0-1 in its last five matches and coming off a 5-3 win over Las Vegas Lights. Led by forward Phillip Goodrum’s 12 goals, Lexington has scored 54 goals while conceding 36 this season. Despite Phoenix Rising’s recent momentum, the club is still searching for its first result against Lexington after dropping its previous meetings. Rising will look to close the regular season on a high note and change that narrative in the final matchup of the year.
“I think for Saturday’s game we have to play like we’ve played the last two games,” Scearce said. “With that energy, with the motivation that we have to win no matter what. For Saturday, it’s do-or-die. We’re going to go out there to win the game.”
