PHOENIX (December 6, 2016) — Phoenix Rising Football Club today announced it has re-signed defender Brock Granger for the 2017 season. The contract is pending league and USSF approval and, per club policy, the terms of the contact will not be public.
“I think he’s a versatile player that gives everything he’s got on every play,” said Phoenix Rising FC head coach Frank Yallop. “Brock is one of those professionals who doesn’t worry about if he’s starting a game or not playing in the game. He’ll give you the same effort and same commitment whatever his role and that’s fantastic. He’s a good person to be around.”
Granger is a USL veteran who has played in the league since 2013. Last season he appeared in 23 matches and played 1,489 minutes for Arizona United SC and notched an assist in that time. Granger had the 8th-most minutes played on the team and 3rd-most among defenders. He’s appeared in 94 total matches as a USL player.
