Carvana Cleat Contest | Phoenix Rising FC

The Carvana Cleat is a larger-than-life (nearly 10-foot) soccer cleat designed to showcase the vibrant art culture of Phoenix. This interactive art installation will be enjoyed by the 100,000+ fans who pass by it at the stadium entrance throughout the season. Last year, we collaborated with local muralist @abombtheartist (Adam Vigil) to bring his unique Chicano art style to the stadium, celebrating both the downtown Phoenix community and the Phoenix Rising FC fanbase.

This year, we’re excited to offer a unique and inspiring platform for college art students in Phoenix to leave their mark at Phoenix Rising Stadium. The selected artwork will be displayed outdoors as an interactive art piece, engaging fans and visitors alike.

BACKGROUND

Carvana has been the primary kit sponsor of Phoenix Rising FC for eight years, and our partnership has been built on community stewardship. One of the cornerstones of this collaboration is Project G.O.A.L. (Giving Others A Lift), which aims to give back to the community we both care about deeply. Carvana and Phoenix Rising FC are thrilled to continue this legacy by introducing the Carvana Cleat, a student-focused art installation that supports the local artists of tomorrow.

DESIGN CRITERIA

The Carvana logos must remain unmodified and positioned according to their current placement and proportions within the final design.
The theme of your artwork should be inspired by Phoenix culture, while also incorporating elements of Phoenix Rising soccer.
We encourage artists to showcase their individual style while staying on theme.

ELIGIBILITY

Artists must be actively enrolled at any Maricopa County Community College or University. This includes full-time or part-time students, undergraduate or graduate students, and those studying both online or in person, as long as they are actively pursuing their degree.

PROJECT BUDGET

All supplies will be covered by Carvana. You’ll work with our team to purchase the necessary materials, ensuring that there will be no out-of-pocket expenses.

AWARD

The contest winner will receive:

A $1,000 award
VIP ticket package and game experience for 4
A custom, team-signed jersey
Halftime recognition at a home match
