(PHOENIX) September 5, 2017 – Phoenix Rising FC goalkeeper Josh Cohen was named to the United Soccer League Team of the Week for Week 24. This is the ninth time a Phoenix Rising FC player has been named to the team of the week this season and the first time this year Cohen has received the honor.
Cohen kept a clean sheet in Phoenix Rising FC’s 2-0 win over Seattle Sounders FC 2 on September 2. One of the highlights of the match was his diving stop near the end of the match to ensure the clean sheet and three points.
Phoenix Rising FC returns to the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex on Wednesday, September 6, to square off with Orange County Soccer Club. That match will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The first 1,00 fans will receive cell phone wallets courtesy of Lyft and all fans will receive a party cup courtesy of the Mayo Clinic as they exit the match.
