(PHOENIX) Sep. 4, 2018 – Phoenix Rising FC announced today that it has re-acquired defender Tristan Blackmon and acquired attacker Josh Pérez on loan for the remainder of the 2018 season from Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Football Club. LAFC will retain the right to recall Blackmon and Pérez at any point.
This will be Blackmon’s second stint with Rising after starting at center back in a pair of 4-0 home wins for Rising last month. Blackmon, 21, was recalled by LAFC ahead of their road match in Toronto on September 1, in which he was a late sub.
Pérez, 20, comes to Phoenix with a decorated youth career. The attacker joined LAFC in August from Italian giant Florienta. Featuring for the Florienta U-19 side, Pérez scored 17 goals and added 14 assists. Pérez has yet to feature for LAFC.
Pérez has received call-ups for the U.S. U-17, U-19 and U-20 teams including an appearance in the U-17 FIFA World Cup in 2015.
Blackmon and Pérez are both expected to be available for selection tomorrow night when Rising hosts RGV Toros FC in the USL Game of the Week at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
