(PHOENIX, AZ) April 11, 2017 – Phoenix Rising FC midfielder Luke Rooney was named to the United Soccer League Team of the Week for Week 3. Rooney becomes the first player since the club’s rebrand to receive the honor and it’s the fourth time in his career that he has been named to the Starting XI.
Rooney scored both goals as Phoenix Rising FC took its first win of the club’s new era with a 2-1 victory against the LA Galaxy II.
Phoenix Rising FC has the week off before coming back to the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex on Sunday, April 23, against Swope Park Rangers. The match will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased by going to www.PHXRisingFC.com.
