Welcome to the Rising Roundup! Each week, we'll roundup all of the club's news and best content from the week and have it in one easy-to-find location for some easy weekend reading (or listening).

And what better way to kickoff this regularly-occurring post than with dogs!

Zac Lubin and Darnel King were the subjects of the latest Arizona Republic profile about the two newest signings to the club: Havoc and Lennie!

Phoenix Rising co-owner Brandon McCarthy was busy this week. He first appeared on the O and Joe Show to talk about Corey Whelen's journey to the club, the ownership group's MLS plans, and the next evilution for Phoenix Rising. He also joined The Men in Blazers to talk Liverpool and Phoenix Rising.

McCarthy wasn't the only one making the podcast rounds. Director of Soccer Development Steve Cooke dropped in on 3 Honest Lads to talk about what he does for the club and his hopes for the future.

Last but not least, head coach Rick Schantz had a coffee talk with USL Championship's Kelsi Steele where he talked about how he's dealing with the quarantine and about the state of the club.

Club Content
Did you miss the return of RIsing Insights? Head coach Rick Schantz is back to breaking down film and this week he's going back over the tape from the club's 6-1 win over Portland Timbers 2 in the 2020 season opener (sigh, those were the days).

The players filmed and edited their own skill video to inject some joy on everyone's timelines. Our older (er, wiser) soccer fans may recognize the musical inspiration for the video.

Lastly, when you're done reading the roundup, get up off your chair and couch and get a little conditioning courtesy of our Director of Sports performance Steve Fell. His weekly videos on Wellness Wednesday presented by Equality Health will help keep your body in shape while you're at home. This week he demonstrates a conditioning drill done by the team.

That's it for the first edition of the Rising Roundup. We'll see y'all next week!
