2022 Community Roundup

Joey Calistri Visits Human Services Campus in Phoenix: Joey Calistri takes a tour of the campus with executive director, Rick Mitchell. Human Services Campus is a non-profit organization that provides resources such as meals, shelters, I.D. project, and physical and dental health to the homeless in hope of ending homelessness.
Cartwright Elementary School: Marcus Epps, Claudio Repetto, and Greg Hurst visit Cartwright Elementary School. They taught the students different shooting and dribbling drills for them to improve their soccer skills.
Hamilton High School: To help celebrate teacher appreciation night, Channing Chasten and Niall Dunn visit their old high school to give tickets to their favorite teachers to show their appreciation.
Rewined Bar: Ben Lundt and Sivert Haugli talk with Jordan Bartkowiak about his personal journey being apart of the LGBTQ+ community while serving in the Air Force.
Fairytale Brownies: Ben Lundt and JJ Williams take a tour of Fairytale Brownies to see how this company makes their brownies from the idea of a brownies to the brownie being created.
Liberty Arts Academy: Channing Chasten and Greg Hurst visit Liberty Arts Academy where they spoke at their school assembly about their lives and how important school was growing up. They also took a tour of the school lead by the Principal, Brady Wald.
Fair Trade Cafe: To close out Women’s History Month, Phoenix Rising player Luis Seijas and front office employees Jess Newton, Isabella Duran, Macy Collins, and Gabriela Lawlor visited the Fair Trade Café in downtown Phoenix. The group spoke with founder/owner Stephanie Vasquez about how she started her business, the importance of role models in girls’ lives, and how the most influential women in sports and business can be your co-workers.
Teen Lifeline: Sivert Haugli takes a tour of Teen Lifeline and learns how Teen Lifeline impacts young teens by preventing teen suicide in Arizona through enhancing resiliency in youth and fostering supportive communities.
Goodyear Fire Department: Greg Hurst and James Musa visit Goodyear Fire Department where they toured the firehouse and traveled with the firefighters on a few calls. In addition, the firehouse has a special memorial for Austin Peck who died from work-line cancer.
